Exposed Coil Pots
As you begin to work on your exposed coil pot, your first course of action should be to flatten out some clay with the slab roller. Your piece of clay shouldn't be too large because the base of your coil pot shouldn't be that big. Cut out a circle from the rim of the various cups provided. After you've cut out your circle, smooth both sides by using the rib. Next, create different types of coils to include in your pot. A good coil is even and and perfect to shape into different designs. For example, squares, circles, and triangles. When attaching the coils to one another, scratch and attach the coils to one another. Smooth the inside of the pot, but keep the outside in the unique shapes.
